ABOUT ME

I hold a BS in Computer Science from the University of Colorado.   I am currently working on my Masters of Science  also in Computer Science.  I anticipate completion in December of 2006.  I work as a service support engineer for Hewlett-Packard.  My main job is keeping customers with business critical applications up and running at all times.  We assist customers who are using various flat-forms and products concurrently with HP's storage products and applications.

I am from Vietnam, I moved to the USA at the age of seventeen.  I love to travel to various parts of the USA and the world.  I have met many interesting people and they are  in a lot of ways have made me who I am today.

PROJECT

CS525 is my first  official exposure to multimedia (beside the cameras and the camcorders of course).  I hope to take away a basic understanding of how today's technologies are integrated together.

As a semester project, I would like to take a deeper look at how today's video and voice conferencing are done. With that, I plan to examine the technologies employed in large-sized companies conferencing applications as well as some popular instant messenger applications.
