General Information
Sensor Networks are a technology consisting of
extremely low-power, small, and low-cost nodes that combined with
wireless communication can greatly effect response efforts. Wireless
sensor networks (WSN) have wide-spread appeal to multiple fields. The can gather
valuable data and wirelessly communicate the data to their subscribers. The small size
and portability of the devices combined with the wireless communication
capabilities make them ideal for many emergency and first responder
settings. They can
expand a responder’s awareness, helping to locate victims or warning of
dangerous situations.
