How to capture video from one of the video camera (from the el pomar center) in Adobe Premiere.

Open Adobe premiere

Make sure the firewire connection is connected to the proper spot in the back of the computer (one of the gateways in the Multimedia lab).

Choose the “Multimedia Video for Windows”  For the presets.

Go file à Capture à Movie Capture

Click Edit under “Capture settings”

The place the settings on “capture” and click for capture format: “DV/IEEE 1394 Capture” IEEE 1394 is firewire.

Then click ok.  The video should come up.  From here you should be able to save video, make sure your filename ends with an avi extension.  The file is saved in

c:\program files\adobe\ Premiere 6.0
