available in campus, includes the multimedia lab in El Pomar center and Teaching
and Learning Center in Columbine.
- In Engineering building we have one
in EAS 143.
- Use your UFP account to login
the Multimedia PC with
Scanjet scanner on the leftmost corner last bench of EAS 143 (inside
EAS 149).
- Select Start | Program | HP
Scanjet | HP PrecisionScanSoftware on the PC
- Put the document with images
(such as your photo) on the scanner. Line up on the upper right corner.
-
- Select scanner | preview menuitem.
The scanner will warm up and scan. The scanned image will show up on
the right canvas window.
- Select (narrow down) the (rectangle)
area to be the final image by pointing and dragging the cursor on that area.
- Select scanner | save as to
capture the image as a file.
- System will ask for the file
name.
- Select the file type, JPEG
(with .jpg).
-
- Use the ftp program to transfer
the image file to your web server machine, or your web page authoring system.
- Make sure you select the binary
data transfer option (on the lower right side of the dialog window), instead
of the default ASCII data transfer option.
The ASCII data transfer only guarantees
7bit delivery per byte.
- Make sure you close the ftp
application after you finish.
