On the PC in EL Pomar 238 Multimedia Development Lab,
use HP scanning software or Microsoft Document Scanning/Imaging software to scan, image-to-text recognition, and save files in various firle format.

On Linux, use Electric Eyes
or Xview to load the image file and then save as JPEG file.

To use Xview, type xv, then
right click on the logo, use load command to display the image and "save"
command with your choice of GIF/JPEG file format to save image in the proper
format.

To use Electric Eyes/GIMP, click
on Gnome system menu | Graphics | Electric Eyes, or click on the image
file in the file folder. Right click on displayed image, select File |
Save as to bring out the save image dialog window. At the bottom
of the window, click the Saved Image Setting for the image file format
(e.g., JPEG).
