DoE FOA00036 Rocky Mountain Smart Secure Grid Initiative Demo Project
- DE-FOA-0000036 “Recovery Act – Smart Grid Demonstration.” proposal
- This is a proposal effort for a demo project (up to $100 Million) not a pure R&D project. It provides opportunities to plan and demonstrate key techniuqes/concepts for secure smart grid with Colorado Utilities. The goals are to improve future smart grid standards and transfer the lessons learnt and experiences to improve efficiency, reliablity and security of national utitlity infrastructure.
- It provides opportunities for faculty members to work with researchers at other Universities and Natioanl Labs on critical issues faced by the utilty companies in their new secure smart grid effort.
- Led by Dr. Ron Sega of CSU, with participations from CSU, CU, School of Mines, NREL, Sandia, Collaboratories, Colorado Utilities, AFA, Northcom, Fort Carson.
