Experience with Redhat 8 Network Service Setup

Edward Chow

The most impressed thing in Redhat 8 is openoffice 1.0 integration. The spreadsheet, presentation, wordprocessor packages come preinstalled in the menu bar. The server settings allows easy setup and configure of network services. The DNS configuration seems to have problems. I have included the following web pages for setting up your own DNS server with a private domain name, setting up apache for allows user directory access such as http://localhost/~chow/, and settting up samba access Linux file syatem from a window host.
