SMANET: Secure Mobile Ad hoc Network Project

The goal of this project is to investigate techniques to enhance the security of a Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET).  This techniques may include:

Current Focus:

The current focus of the project is to explore the use of signatures to verify the authenticity of routing updates in the Ad hoc On demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol.  The use of signatures has been proposed by Manel Guerrero-Zapata in his Secure AODV (SAODV) draft to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
