InfoFuse : Intelligence/Information
Fusion
Goal:
Investigate
the information technology in support of intelligence/information fusion among
multiple agencies.
Tasks:
- Literature Survey on existing
techniques for supporting intelligence/information fusion among multiple agencies.
- Investigate key issues in intelligence/information
fusion research.
- Potential tasks:
- XML based language specifying
and exchanging distributed intelligence information
Working with Northcom staff, we will study and develop a shared thesaurus
providing understanding of the terminology used by different agencies
in specific chosen domains. An XML based language for exchanging sensor
data, decisions, and sensor control requests will be developed.
- Meta model for combining decisions
Techniques for combining decisions from multiple classifiers will be investigated.
Of particular interest is the design of a feedback loop for verification
and timely correction of decisions. We will investigate how artificial
neural networks can be used to speed up and improve the accuracy of decision
making.
- QoS for multi-agency sensor
feedback performance
Assuming some cooperation of sensors from multiple agencies, we are interested
in studying techniques for guaranteeing the quality of service for the
high priority sensor information fusion/delivery.
- Cluster-based Computing Platforms in Support of Information Fusion Applicationks
Address the performance and QoS issues involved in computing platforms in support of information fusion applications.
