List of Tasks in FRSN Project
Current Task
1/26 For the tasks of this week,
- Email a query msg w.r.t. serial forwarder for stargate to the tech/customer
support of crossbow and the Intel people who designed the stargate applications
(find out the stargate related web site and the person the manage it). CC
it to me.
- Find out where to download the JVM. The web sites listed for wonda jvm in
the readme file of stargate CDROM no longer exist. Call/email crossbow tech
support to find out more info.
- Start your porting of serial forwarder on stargate (give the above one or
two days to reply).
- Improve the powerpoint presentation http://cs.uccs.edu/~frsn/docs/ReportSNSjan2704.ppt
by
- including RFC references and other literature (files) used for interpreting
the beacon msg data in Slide 15 and
- improving the description of on 2nd byte of the source address
- capturing other protocol messages (routing and sensor data); and creating
for each of them the same slide similar to Slide 15. This will provide
informative information for others who tries to understand the protocol
in more details.
- Desgin a simple protocol (server and client applications) for retrieving
the data such as floor maps saved in the stargate. Reuse the SGFR as much
as possible. So that security is ensured.
- Investigate how to run mobile ad hoc mode on stargate Linux system using
Aironet 350 pc card. Envision that first responders may carry the pda with
wireless card similar to our SGFR demo.
- Put the powerpoint info in a word final report format and start adding text
to make it more complete.
Before 1/26, we have worked on learning the tinyos, protocols, stargate, and
surge applications. We have captured a few messages and try to interpret the
msg format. See the powerpoint presentation.
