Abstract

Initially, investigate current forensic tools to evaluate the possible security breach of Athena, a UNIX server on the University of Colorado of Colorado Springs' campus. Evaluate current tools and possibly attempt to develop a tool to help capture an image of a compromised system. This image could be used to perform further analysis in a more controlled and protected environment.
